Job summary

Bury Council is seeking a Multiskilled Plasterer (Housing Repairs) to join the Housing Repairs Direct Works team. You will deliver responsive repairs, planned works, voids and refurbishment across council properties, combining strong technical skills with excellent customer care.

The role is 37 hours per week, based at various locations across the borough, and requires participation in the out-of-hours call-out rota. A driving licence and relevant plastering qualifications are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in plastering or time-served apprenticeship and substantial industry experience.
• Experience in building industry and carrying out multi-skilled tasks.
• Knowledge of safe working procedures in operational/high-risk environments.
• Full, valid driving licence.
• Willingness to participate in out-of-hours emergency repairs rota.

Responsibilities

• Carry out multi-skilled plastering tasks across housing repairs, voids and refurbishment projects.
• Work in a hands-on role with high-quality workmanship and customer care.
• Maintain safety and quality standards across council properties.
• Complete work documentation and use ICT/mobile systems as required.
