Job description

Multiskilled Civils Operative

Locations: Hampshire, Sussex, Kent, IOW

Hours: 45 hours per week

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: GBP15-GBP18 per hour, competitive rates depending on experience

Project Partners are currently recruiting now for Multiskilled Operatives to make an impact in the utilities sector. We're seeking skilled individuals to support with drainage works across the Hampshire, Sussex and Kent region. Are you a utilities expert ready for a new challenge? Have you got civils and drainage experience and keen to progress?

Job Role:

  • Undertake a daily pre-start, Point of Works Risk Assessment (POWRA) and brief the risk to your team members and to all visitors to site
  • Carry out CCTV surveys work as described in the work order in a timely and safe fashion, including but not limited: dig down repair, manhole rebuilds/Covers, and AFD/interceptor install/removal
  • Always wear and ensure that everyone else on site, including visitors, also wear the mandated and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE clothing) which will be provided by the company
  • Complete paperwork in tidy and timely manner
  • Ensure that any vehicle you are driving is road worthy before you drive it by undertaking and recording daily vehicle checks including for trailers and towable plant
  • Work safely and in accordance with the training received, company work instruction and daily site-specific work risk (SSWR) assessments
  • Be available to participate in a call out Rota

Candidate Experience Required:

  • Sewer network or drainage utility experience
  • Experience of safe working practices
  • Experience making necessary adjustment to the worksites
  • Reliable and Positive Self Starter

Qualifications Required:

  • Full clean driving license
  • Streetworks (NRSWA)
  • Confined space training
  • High pressure water jetting training.
  • OS19 CCTV trained (desirable)
  • Confined space training (desirable)
