Job summary

Caterpillar Peterlee is hiring a multiskilled Maintenance Technician; maintain a wide range of equipment to ensure high uptime across the site. Role includes planned and reactive maintenance, PLC fault-finding, and SAP PM/Agility usage with 4 crew, 3 shifts per week (days/nights).

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent in mechanical/electrical discipline.
• NVQ/ONC/BTEC level 3 in maintenance or engineering desirable.
• Experience with PLCs maintenance and fault-finding in manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete planned preventive and reactive maintenance.
• Conduct Dynamic Risk Assessments per H&S policy.
• Use SAP PM/Agility to review breakdown data and record actions.
• Diagnose PLC concerns and implement program changes.
• Complete training and development as required.
• Identify root causes and implement countermeasures.
