Job summary

Olleco in Swanley is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain the fresh oil packing line and site plant. You will work with mechanical, electrical and automation systems, contributing to safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and electrical engineering qualification (City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Apprentice-trained with experience in automated, fast-paced manufacturing.
• Experience working with PLCs, motors, drives, sensors and automated packaging.
• Experience with planned and reactive maintenance in manufacturing (food/FMCG preferred).
• Experience using a CMMS is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on the packing line and related equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and automation faults quickly to minimise production losses.
• Perform first-line PLC fault-finding (programming not required).
• Support line changeovers, installations, commissioning and continuous improvement activities on packing equipment.
• Maintain accurate CMMS records and manage spares for the packing line.
• Ensure work complies with health and safety standards and food safety requirements.
• Provide mechanical and electrical support across the wider site and communicate progress to shift teams.
