Cranswick Country Foods Fresh Poultry in Eye, Suffolk, is seeking a General Maintenance Operative to join our on-site team. The role covers maintaining site services, utilities, and building fabric to required standards, with a focus on safety, compliance, and efficiency.

Shift pattern is 06:00-15:00, Sunday-Thursday, with part-time options discussed. This permanent, full-time role offers a competitive hourly rate and benefits as part of our manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Experience as a multi-skilled engineer or similar role.
• Problem solving and practical troubleshooting abilities.
• Pro-active and forward thinking with good organisational skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Ensure site services (steam, water, drainage, electrical – HV etc.) are functioning within legal, customer, environmental and business requirements.
• Maintain compliance records accurately.
• Monitor and maintain all structural areas of the building to an acceptable standard.
• Document and complete all works in the CMMS system.
• Ensure site water systems comply with L8 and Legionella controls.
• Carry out works allocated through Shire system, including non-conformances and planned/ predictive/ corrective maintenance.
• Inspect air handling systems and maintain them per schedules.
• Comply with all health, safety, environmental, and construction legislation.
• Complete auditable paperwork accurately.
• Support KPI improvements and drive performance.
