Multiskilled Maintenance Technician – Elec Bias

Area: Telford

Job type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £47,000 – Depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday – 40 hrs per week, Double days plus occasional night shift on a rota basis

We are currently recruiting for a well-established global manufacturer in Telford who is seeking an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Technician. The role involves supporting machine breakdowns, responding to mechanical and electrical faults, assisting with preventative maintenance, and equipment installations.

Ideal candidates will be multiskilled, electrically biased, with knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLCs, and experienced in fast-paced manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and repairing plant machinery and equipment, including facilities
  • Performing planned and preventative maintenance
  • Responding promptly to breakdowns and repairing mechanical, electrical, and robotic equipment
  • Supporting the installation of new machinery onsite
  • Fault finding on PLCs
  • Communicating effectively across all shifts and departments
  • Adhering to health, safety, and environmental legislation

Skills and Experience:

  • Multiskilled, preferably with electrical bias
  • Electrical qualification advantageous
  • Experience in fault finding and repairing pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs, and robots
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing sectors such as food, FMCG, or automotive
  • Previous roles may include Multiskilled Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Engineer, Reliability Engineer, etc.
