Are you a hands-on technician with a passion for both electrical systems and instrumentation? Do you thrive in a manufacturing environment where safety, reliability, and continuous improvement are key? If so, we want to hear from you!

We’re looking for a Multiskilled Maintenance Technician with an Electrical/Instrumentation bias to join our Engineering and Maintenance team at our top-tier COMAH site in Duxford. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production and packaging plant, reducing downtime, and supporting site safety and compliance.

What You’ll Do

  1. Perform proactive and reactive maintenance across production and service equipment.
  2. Diagnose and repair faults in electrical and instrumentation systems.
  3. Calibrate and maintain site instrumentation to meet regulatory and safety standards.
  4. Support ATEX inspections and installations, ensuring compliance with DSEAR regulations.
  5. Ensure all maintenance and calibration records are accurate and audit-ready.
  6. Collaborate with engineering colleagues to drive efficiency and reliability.
  7. Participate in EHS audits and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring

  1. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related Engineering discipline.
  2. Proven experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment (chemical, pharma, or similar).
  3. Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and instrumentation systems.
  4. Familiarity with PLC/SCADA systems, LV switchgear, VSDs, and safety systems.
  5. Understanding of regulatory and statutory engineering requirements.
  6. A proactive, safety-first mindset with excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Desirable (but not essential)

  1. CompEx or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
  2. Experience with SAP PM or similar maintenance management systems.
  3. Interest in developing further skills in instrumentation or electrical systems.
