Job summary

Elis UK Limited in Southampton is seeking a hands-on Engineer to keep our operation running safely and reliably through planned maintenance, breakdown repairs and fault finding.

You will work with our Engineering team to minimise downtime, improve equipment performance and support site improvements while developing your skills. This role sits within a fast-paced operations environment at a global textiles and facility services provider.

Qualifications

• 3 years' engineering experience in manufacturing
• Multi-skilled mechanical and electrical capabilities
• Experience with electrical circuits, pneumatics and hydraulics
• Root-cause fault finding and ability to interpret drawings
• Proactive, safety-first mindset with good communication

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across site machinery and infrastructure to maximise reliability and minimise downtime
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, identify root causes and implement effective repairs safely and efficiently
• Maintain equipment and site infrastructure to high standards and operate as efficiently as possible
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency and site performance
• Build strong relationships with Production and site teams, communicating effectively when issues arise
• Ensure engineering activities comply with site Health & Safety requirements and safe systems of work
• Complete inspections, PPM records and engineering documentation accurately in CMMS
• Contribute to equipment upgrades and wider engineering projects
