Job summary
LLOYD'S REGISTER INTERNATIONAL seeks a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer in Glasgow to keep industrial equipment running smoothly, reduce downtime, and support production teams across multiple sites.
The role requires hands-on maintenance across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems with PLC familiarity. 2+ years in FMCG/manufacturing is expected, with City & Guilds/NVQ qualifications and a safety-focused mindset.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or automated environments.
- Knowledge of PLCs / automation systems (desirable).
- Relevant qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive, safety-focused mindset with strong problem-solving ability.
Responsibilities
- Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance on industrial machinery.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical & mechanical faults efficiently.
- Work across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
- Troubleshoot issues including PLC and control systems.
- Support production teams to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
- Assist with installation, upgrades, and improvement projects.
- Plan and execute preventative maintenance schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organised working environment at all times.
