Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Elec Bias)
Location: Stroud
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Shift Pattern: Earlies/Lates (6am-2pm wk1 Monday-Friday / 2-10pm wk2)

Package: Up to GBP50,000

Job Summary
You will be responsible for proactively supporting the site operations, maintaining and repairing all site machinery and services, and driving improvements in equipment reliability through planned preventative maintenance. You will work closely with Production Team Leaders and Operators to improve performance, analyse OEE data, and implement corrective actions to maximise plant reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production operations in line with agreed health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Optimise line performance to meet and exceed KPIs in equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Carry out planned maintenance activities, review their effectiveness, and implement improvements.
  • Analyse line performance data regularly and take appropriate actions to improve output.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
  • Develop systems for correct operation of equipment and improve methods to manage processes (e.g., changeovers, reaction plans).
  • Take ownership of the reliability programme for specific machinery.
  • Ensure performance and maintenance information is accurately recorded to support a predictive maintenance approach.
  • Coach and support team members in asset care and condition monitoring tasks.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment; food production experience is essential.
  • Qualified to HNC or City & Guilds Part 3 in a relevant skilled discipline, or time-served apprenticeship.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
  • IOSH Health & Safety certification advantageous, but strong health and safety knowledge is essential.
