Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd has a hands-on Maintenance Engineer role near Okehampton, focused on reliable plant performance and downtime reduction. The role covers both reactive and planned maintenance across production machinery and utilities, with an electrical bias preferred.

You'll work within a core engineering team, carry out fault-finding, and support preventative maintenance. Applicants with electrical/maintenance experience and CMMS familiarity are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification or apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Experience in maintenance within a production/manufacturing setting.
• Proactive with a hands-on approach to engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fault-finding, repairs, and component replacement on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Support the site's preventative maintenance schedule to minimise unplanned downtime.
• Work safely within electrical panels, including isolations, motor controls, sensors, relays, and PLCs.
• Support continuous improvement activities and look for ways to reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with Supervisor and Engineering Manager to prioritise work and keep production running smoothly.
