Overview

Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer – Sheffield – £53,200 + Pension & Benefits

We\'re looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team at a high-volume food manufacturing site. They\'re committed to developing and investing in their people and this role is a mix of planned maintenance, fault-finding, and project work, with a focus on improving reliability and supporting the site\'s CI agenda.

About the Role
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site, diagnosing and resolving breakdowns quickly to minimise downtime.
  • Supporting mechanical and electrical engineering activities.
  • Working on installation and modification projects to improve plant performance.
  • Ensuring strict Health & Safety and Food Safety standards are adhered to at all times.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement, focusing on improving efficiencies and reducing waste.

Shift Pattern - 4 on/off (2 days/nights)

About You
  • Apprentice-trained Engineer, ideally with an electrical bias, with experience of planned/reactive maintenance, ideally within Food or FMCG manufacturing.
  • Proactive, methodical approach with strong fault-finding skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork - you\'ll be working closely with production and technical teams.
  • PLC programming skills would be ideal but are not essential.
  • 18th Edition and other qualifications, such as Food Safety and IOSH, would be an advantage.
