A leading company in steel services seeks a Maintenance Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will ensure minimal downtime by performing preventative maintenance and reactive repairs. This role offers competitive earnings potential, especially for those available for call-outs during weekends.
A Steel Services manufacturer just outside of the Wolverhampton area are looking for a Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join their team
The ideal candidate will be a hard:working and adaptable Engineer with a strong technical background within a fast:paced manufacturing environment, preferably from a steel manufacturer, foundry, galvanised equipment manufacturer. Operating in a fast:paced environment, you will report to the Maintenance Manager and provide planned, preventative maintenance expertise along with responses to reactive breakdowns
The maintenance department is currently operates on a call out rota, where the Maintenance Engineer will be required to be on call out once every other weekend. This is paid at 1.5x on a Saturday and 2x on a Sunday, meaning that there is great earning potential

Location: Commutable from Wolverhampton, Walsall, Willenhall, Tipton, Wednesbury etc
Salary: GBP 40,000 (OTE of GBP 45,000 : GBP 48,000)

Hours: 39 hours
The key responsibilities of the Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer role will be:
: Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on a variety of machinery and equipment.
: Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults across plant and production equipment.
: Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with machine upgrades and installations.
: Ensure minimal downtime through proactive maintenance and fast response to breakdowns.
: Maintain accurate maintenance records using the company's CMMS system.
: Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
: Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to maintain high standards of operation.
The key requirements of the Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer will be:
: Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role within fast paced manufacturing environments such as Steel Manufacturing, Foundries, Galvanised Equipment Manufacturing etc
: Steel manufacturing experience is very advantageous
: Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems.
: Ability to read technical drawings and fault:find using PLCs (advantageous but not essential).
: Willingness to work on a call out rota
