Job summary

CV Technical Limited is seeking an Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join a busy FMCG manufacturing site in Peterborough. This permanent role offers a salary of £45,000 - £50,000 and a 3-shift rotation.

You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery, diagnose faults in electrical and mechanical systems, and work with PLCs, sensors, motors and inverters to minimise downtime while maintaining safety and site standards.

Qualifications

• Electrical bias maintenance background.
• Level 3 Electrical/Engineering qualification preferred.
• Experience in FMCG, food, packaging or high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong fault-finding ability.
• Comfortable working on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Experience with PLCs, sensors, motors, inverters/drives.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
• Troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, motors, drives and control systems
• Complete preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and minimise production downtime
• Work closely with production and engineering teams
• Support continuous improvement and reliability projects
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and to site standards

Location: Peterborough

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

Shift: 3-shift rotation - 2 weeks earlies, 2 weeks nights, 2 weeks lates

I'm currently recruiting for an Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing site in Peterborough.

This is a hands-on maintenance role where you'll be responsible for keeping production machinery and equipment running reliably, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance and helping minimise downtime across the site.

The Role

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
• Troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, motors, drives and control systems
• Complete preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and minimise production downtimeWork closely with production and engineering teams

About You

• Electrical bias maintenance background
• Ideally Level 3 Electrical / Engineering qualification
• Previous experience working within FMCG, food, packaging or a similar high-volume manufacturing environment
• Strong fault-finding ability
• Comfortable working on both electrical and mechanical equipment
• Experience with PLCs, sensors, motors, inverters/drives etc.
• Happy working a rotating 3-shift pattern
