Job Description:

Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) - Shift-Based Role

This role involves working a shift-based schedule on a 4-week cycle, including 12-hour shifts (2 days and 2 nights rotation). Shifts run from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.

Responsibilities

  • Performing routine maintenance to ensure plant critical systems and equipment function optimally.
  • Enhancing equipment performance and reliability through proactive maintenance and repair.
  • Conducting first-line fault finding and diagnostics.
  • Supporting Operations Improvement and Transformation projects.
  • Working on a variety of manufacturing and utility systems to maintain high-quality standards for automotive products.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Proven experience in practical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Completion of an Electrical/Instrumentation Apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ Level 3 or National Certificate in an Electrical/Instrumentation discipline.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage tasks in a busy environment.
  • Familiarity with computer-based maintenance planning systems.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HNC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Experience with PLC systems, particularly Siemens.
  • Competitive salary up to £50,000 including shift allowance.
