Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is actively looking to place a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer near Ebbw Vale. You will work in a days & nights rotation on a 4-day working week within a fast-paced production environment, maintaining and repairing a range of specialist machinery.

The role requires a time-served, apprentice-trained engineer, ideally NVQ 3 or HNC, with a strong emphasis on root cause analysis and continuous improvement. A highly competitive salary of up to £50,000 accompanies this opportunity.

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or HNC equivalent.
• Time-served, apprentice-trained Multiskilled Engineer is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and repairing equipment in line with schedules and specifications to maximise reliability and minimise downtime.
• Identifying recurring equipment issues and implementing long-term fixes through root cause analysis.
• Ensuring all tools and repair equipment are maintained and fit for purpose.
• Supporting and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

As a Multiskilled Engineer, this is what you'll be doing:

You'll be part of a well-established engineering team, working a days & nights rotation across a 4-day working week-supporting a fast-paced production environment with a range of specialist machinery.

Tasks will include:

• Maintaining and repairing equipment in line with schedules and specifications to maximise reliability and minimise downtime, including testing, fault finding and repairs.
• Identifying recurring equipment issues and implementing long-term fixes through root cause analysis.
• Ensuring all tools and repair equipment are maintained and fit for purpose.
• Supporting and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

The experience you will bring to the team:

• Ideally qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or HNC equivalent.
• A time-served, apprentice-trained Multiskilled Engineer is essential.
