Job summary

Solina Group in Hitchin is seeking a multi-qualified Shift Technician with expertise in both Electrical and Mechanical disciplines. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, ensuring the minimal downtime of production facilities through effective maintenance and proactive repairs.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in Engineering/Maintenance in food manufacturing.
• Must be multi-qualified in Electrical & Mechanical disciplines.
• Demonstrable mechanical fitting abilities and experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure minimal downtime through effective maintenance and repair of plant and machinery.
• Limit equipment failure through planned preventative maintenance tasks.
• Engage in upskilling operators for best practice on plant use.

Skills

Mechanical Engineering qualification

Ability to read and interpret Mechanical drawings

Good pneumatic skills

Independent and assisted maintenance work

Good English communication

Education

C&G / NVQ Level 2 or higher
