Job summary

Castle Employment Agency Ltd is seeking a Field Service Pump Engineer for national field-based work across the UK. The role requires servicing, maintaining and repairing water and sewage pumping stations, with travel and overtime built into the package.

Candidates should have pumping station experience, be flexible with travel and overtime, and hold a full UK driving licence. 17th/18th Edition knowledge is advantageous for electrical bias. A strong, independent work style is essential.

Field Service Pump Engineer

Basic Salary: £36k - £44k+ DOE + Significant Overtime & Allowances

Location: UK - National Field Based

Hours: 42.5 hours + overtime, paid door-to-door

Due to continued growth, we are recruiting an experienced Field Service Pump Engineer to join an established and expanding engineering team, working on pumping stations across the UK.

Previous pumping station experience is essential for this position.

The Role

• Service, maintain, install and repair water and sewage pumping stations.
• Mechanical and electrical fault finding across pumps, valves, pipework, controls and associated equipment.
• Planned maintenance, breakdowns and new installations.
• Work predominantly independently across customer sites.
• Work across commercial developments, leisure sites, utilities and other major projects.
• Regular UK travel with approximately 2-3 overnight stays per month.
• Confined space working where required.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong pumping station experience is essential.
• Mechanical, electrical or multi-skilled backgrounds considered.
• Experience with pumps, valves, pipework and wastewater systems.
• 17th/18th Edition advantageous for electrically biased engineers.
• Flexible towards travel, overtime and occasional weekend work.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Professional, reliable and comfortable working independently.
