Job Description

Position: Maintenance and Engineering Supervisor

Location: Grimsby, North Lincolnshire

Aim/Purpose of Job: Responsibility through the Engineering Manager for all machine and building services maintenance. Carry out supervisory duties in line with regulations, manufacturers guidance, company policies and procedures. Direct responsibility in the supervision and co-ordination of the activities of engineering dept

As a Maintenance and Engineering Supervisor you will be responsible for:

  • Oversee daily engineering operations and support team management and development.
  • Maintain safety, quality, and hygiene standards across all activities.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and CMMS records are kept up to date.
  • Support resource planning, shift cover, and on-call duties.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and lead or support planned shutdowns.
  • Manage spares, purchasing, and contractor risk assessments.
  • Assist with performance reviews, continuous improvement, and project delivery.
  • Act as deputy in the Engineering Manager’s absence.
  • Promote teamwork, compliance with company policies, and flexibility in duties.
  • Occasional travel to other sites.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Self-motivated
  • Previous experience in a supervisor role
  • In-depth fault-finding ability
  • Good communication skills, with a positive, proactive can - do attitude to your team and others
  • Challenge people, hold them accountable for job completion and quality of completion

Working Hours:

Monday- Friday 8:00-16:30.
