Job summary

Henderson Brown Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a fast-paced FMCG site in South Manchester. The role offers a salary of £55,963 and a rotating shift pattern: days, nights and twilights.

You will diagnose and repair manufacturing equipment, perform both PPM and reactive maintenance, and support continuous improvement across operations. Candidates should have electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds) and proven PLC fault-finding skills,

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role (e.g. Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer, Engineering Technician, Maintenance Technician, or Electrical Maintenance Engineer)
• Formal qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds), supported by relevant training and experience
• Experience in fast paced industries such as food, packaging or wider FMCG.
• Good problem solving skills and a clear understanding of Root Cause Analysis.
• Strong PLC fault finding skills.

Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £55,963

Location: South Manchester

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, one week rotating shift pattern of days (6am-2pm), nights (10pm-6am), twilights (2pm-6am).

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of manufacturing equipment used in FMCG production whilst complying with health and safety requirements.
• Perform both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, with a strong focus on minimising downtime
