Blade Recruitment is seeking a Multiskilled Engineer for an educational facility in Kingston upon Thames. The ideal candidate has qualifications or strong experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, joinery, or related trades, plus experience in facilities management or maintenance environments.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualifications or strong experience in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Joinery, or related trades.
• Experience in facilities management or maintenance environments.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently or in a team.
• Familiarity with CAFM systems and BMS is desirable.
• Experience supervising contractors or supporting projects is desirable.
• Experience working in educational, healthcare, or large-site environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and ventilation systems.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs using technical expertise.
• Use Planon CAFM system and Building Management Systems to record and monitor work.
• Interpret building drawings and understand basic BMS/control systems.
• Collaborate with colleagues and assist contractors.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota.
• Support small projects and installations.
