Job summary

Dalkia UK is seeking a Multiskilled Engineer to join our facilities maintenance team. The role covers London and South East airport facilities, mainly Heathrow, with travel to other sites.

You will be responsible for operation, maintenance and ongoing compliance of all systems within world-class facilities, reporting to the Technical Lead.

Qualifications

  • Good all round maintenance engineer with strong electrical skills and air conditioning / filter cleaning knowledge.
  • Relevant Electrical or Mechanical qualification is required.
  • Health and Safety Training including Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks, repairs and operations of equipment and services.
  • Ensure third party contractors comply with safety and procedures.
  • Review Risk Assessments/Method Statements for on-site work.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure the operation of the centre is compliant at all times.

Dalkia have a fantastic opportunity for a Multiskilled Engineer with basic mechanical skills to join our facilities maintenance team, based across London and South East airport facilities, with our client Swissport.

Hours of work
  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm + shared on-call rota
Work Location

Mobile based across a small number of facilities. (You will be mainly based at Heathrow airport, with travel to other London and South East airports.)

Role Overview

Reporting to the Technical Lead you will play a crucial role in the operation, maintenance and ongoing compliance of all systems of these first class, unique facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out scheduled maintenance tasks, repairs and operations of equipment and services in accordance with best practice
  • Ensure that all third party contractors that are requested to carry out work on site, do so in a safe and professional manner and abide by any company or site specific procedures
  • Ensure Risk Assessments/Method Statements are reviewed for work being carried out
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure the operation of the centre is compliant at all times.
Requirements
  • Good all round maintenance engineer with strong electrical skills as well as air conditioning / filter cleaning knowledge
  • Relevant Electrical or Mechanical qualification
  • Health and Safety Training including knowledge of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • GCSE (or ‘O' Level equivalent) passes in Maths and English or recognised equivalent.
  • Experience with similar maintenance duties including fault diagnosis, rectification.
  • Experience in the Electrical aspects of general building PPM schedules. Experienced in
  • Electrical Installation work, plus electrical testing and inspection.
  • A good understanding of Building Critical and Non-Critical Systems.
  • Knowledge in CAFM PPM Management System (Concept) via handheld PDA
Desirable
  • C&G Electrical Inspection and Testing (or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition IEE Electrical Regulations.
  • BMS (Building Management System knowledge and understanding.
  • A good basic Mechanical understanding.
  • Understanding of COSHH and handling of substances.
