Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our maintenance team in London, supporting plant, equipment and building services across a busy commercial contract.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, fault-finding across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and the ability to supervise contractors. The successful candidate will work on three-phase systems up to 440V and help uphold safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or recognised trade qualification in mechanical/electrical maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with 3-phase motors, drives and inverters.
• Ability to supervise contractors and manage safety documentation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across plant and building services.
• Identify and manage risks relating to onsite equipment, update drawings, and identify spares.
• Support and improve preventative maintenance programmes and ensure compliance.
• Perform fault-finding across industrial machinery, heavy plant and cranes.
• Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance team.
• Work safely on three-phase systems up to 440V.
• Maintain motors, gearboxes, valves and hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Record maintenance work using CAFM devices.
• Liaise with Site Services and clients to resolve building-services-related issues.
• Act as responsible person and deputise for the Shift Leader when required.
• Complete risk assessments and method statements.
• Support ad-hoc duties and overtime when needed.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out planned andreactive maintenance across plant, equipment and building services.
• Identifying, assessing andmanaging risks relating to onsite equipment, including updating drawings andidentifying critical spares.

What We’re Looking For

• Recognised or time-servedapprenticeship.
• Strong manufacturing orindustrial maintenance experience.
• Electrical qualifications suchas City & Guilds 236 Parts 1–2 or equivalent (17th Edition).
• Mechanical qualifications toCity & Guilds or NVQ Level 2.
• Ability to fault-find acrosselectrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with 3-phase motors,drives and inverters.
• PLC diagnostic or repaircapabilities (advantageous).
• Confident supervisingcontractors and managing safety documentation.
