If you're the engineer who enjoys the faults nobody else can find, this role gives you plenty of them, across a wide spread of sites in Surrey, Sussex and Kent.
£36,000 to £43,000 basic, rising past £50,000 OTE once overtime, standby and call-outs are in.
You won't be stuck on the same few PPM contracts. Every week brings different buildings and different kit, and the manufacturer-led training means there's always a system you're getting better at. It suits someone who likes being trusted with the tricky stuff.
You'd be servicing and maintaining fire alarms, CCTV, intruder and access control on commercial sites across the RG, GU, RH and TN postcodes, with commissioning where it comes up. You'd share the on-call rota and manage your own diary and customers.
It's a nationwide service provider with over 30 years behind it and around 100 staff, working for local authorities, housing, education and facilities management. That's big enough for steady work and funded training, without being corporate about it. The management team are ex-engineers.
You'll need hands-on fire and security experience, good fault finding, and a full UK driving licence. You'll also need to pass BS7858 vetting and an enhanced DBS.
