Job summary

Busy Bees Nurseries is seeking a Facilities Manager - Soft Services to lead cleaning, grounds maintenance, pest control and waste services across our childcare settings. This hybrid role, based from the head office and sites across the network, reports to the Maintenance Manager and supports the National Support Centre (NSC).

The ideal candidate will have experience in soft-services leadership within multi-site or regulated environments, and strong communication/organisational skills to drive

Qualifications

• Experience managing soft services in a multi-site, regulated or high-traffic environment.
• Proven ability to lead cleaning, grounds, pest control and waste services.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with contractor management.
• Familiarity with COSHH, health and safety requirements in childcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of soft services across Busy Bees settings.
• Oversee cleaning standards, schedules, materials, audits, and hygiene compliance.
• Manage grounds maintenance contracts and outdoor safety.
• Coordinate pest control programmes and waste management.
• Monitor KPIs and ensure provider performance against SLAs.
• Support NSC operations and assist with ad hoc meetings.
