Overview

Our prestigious client is a leading European real estate firm focusing on UK & European investment opportunities.

The firm handles the full cycle of investments in real estate assets, including Healthcare, Student Accommodation, Office, Hotel, Retail, and Residential sectors. They specialize in Alternative Capital Markets, identifying off-market transactions, conducting detailed due diligence, financial and transactional modeling, legal structuring, financing, debt negotiation, and developing exit strategies in collaboration with operating partners.

The Senior Analyst/Valuer/Surveyor or Associate Director role involves managing and supervising investment projects related to analysis, financial modeling, due diligence, site visits, transaction documentation, and collaboration with local operating partners across the UK and Europe. The candidate should have a strong understanding of real estate investing in the UK & Europe, investment analysis, financial modeling, and project management. Responsibilities also include brokering deals, mentoring, and developing junior staff.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Evaluate and perform due diligence on real estate investment opportunities in Student Accommodation across the UK.
  • Create financial models, conduct market research, and liaise with partners to evaluate investments.
  • Manage due diligence processes and oversee technical, valuation, and legal advisers.
  • Coordinate with investors’ legal and tax advisers for structuring acquisitions.
  • Prepare investment memoranda for internal and investor review.
  • Participate in meetings with investors and management to discuss investment opportunities and asset management.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Analysts.

Skills, qualifications, and experience required

  • Proven track record in private equity real estate funds, especially in UK Student Accommodation.
  • Experience in real estate finance and development within Student Accommodation.
  • Background in Real Estate Agencies.
  • Strong understanding of investment, accounting, finance, and real estate terminology.
  • Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills.
  • Experience managing due diligence processes with third-party advisers.
  • Ability to draft investment memos and asset management reports.
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Degree in finance, economics, or related field; MBA and CFA level experience are preferred.
  • Fluency in English and another European language is preferred.
