About The Role

As a Lecturer of Multimedia and Virtual Environment Designat EKC group, you will teach, train and assess students in a variety of learning environments, ensuring a high-quality learning experience.
You will be joining a small team of creative and innovative staff who have designed a range of creative multimedia and creative virtual environment design courses which aims to prepare young people to successfully gain entrance to university level courses whilst engaging them with community focussed and industry style projects.
You will predominantly be teaching on the level 2 and level 3 UAL diplomas in creative media production and technology. These follow the pathways of multimedia and creative computing at level 2 and Virtual environment design at level 3.
Your role will also include:
  • Providing support to learners to achieve their maximum potential.
  • Lead as appropriate on designated study programmes and/or courses, with a key responsibility for ensuring the design, delivery and evaluation of programme.
  • Assessing students work both practical and theory.

  • Monday 09:00 - 17:00
  • Wed 09:00 - 17:00
  • Thursday 09:00 - 13:30
  • Fri 09:00 - 13:30
Salary: £24,422 up to £25,660.

About You

The successful candidate will be able to teach a range of designated study programs and/ or courses from Level 1 up to Level 3 and will be able to motivate learners to achieve and succeed on their programmes of studyIdeally you will have experience of teaching or have delivered training in the workplace although this isn't essential as training will be offered to the successful applicant.

You will:
  • Have experience in using multimedia software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and also virtual environment software such as Untiy and Unreal Engine.
  • Have a positive outlook and be empathetic towards learners.
  • Have strong class management skills.
  • Ensure a supportive, safe and inclusive learning environment.

Please note that there are two salary scale points for our Lecturer positions. All candidates will start at the introductory salary scale point unless certain criteria are met.Lecturerswill normally move up to the highest salary scale onceone full academic yearof teaching for our group is complete.(Lecturers must be in post by 1stSeptember in any given year to qualify and this is subject to approval). Therefore, internal applicantsin the same rolemay qualify for the higher salary scale, although should seek clarification
