Job summary

Sussex Police is seeking a talented graphic designer to support our 24/7 communications. You will develop multi-media assets for on- and offline channels, ensuring the corporate brand is applied consistently across outputs.

You'll deliver layout, illustration, and animation to briefs with short deadlines, maintain brand integrity, and push creative ideas while staying aligned with the wider communications strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in graphic design or visual arts.
• Strong typography sense with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proven ability to deliver multi-channel design work.

Responsibilities

• Concept development: Collaborate with the Media and Communications Department to understand project requirements and develop creative concepts meeting objectives.
• Visual design: Create and refine images, typography, illustration, animation and layouts for digital and print media.
• Brand consistency: Ensure designs adhere to branding guidelines across platforms.
• Software proficiency: Use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and related tools to produce high-quality assets.
• Project management: Manage multiple design projects with timely delivery and deadlines.
• Stay updated: Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve skills.
