Job Description

We’re looking for a reliable and professional 7.5 Tonne or HGV 2 Delivery Driver to join our client in their Cheshunt depot. In this role, you’ll help deliver the finest products to their customers across the region.

Responsibilities include:

• Vehicle Checks: Carry out daily walk-around checks to ensure your vehicle and equipment are safe, functional, and clean.
• Driving & Safety: Follow all road safety regulations, speed limits, and weight restrictions. Use your tachograph correctly and report any incidents promptly.
• Load Security: Secure goods safely, use handheld devices for recording deliveries, and ensure correct handling of chilled items.
• Deliveries: Safely deliver orders to hospitality and retail customers, unload goods efficiently, and confirm delivery accuracy with a friendly, professional service.
• Customer Service: Act as a trusted point of contact, be approachable, solution-focused, and support with delivery queries.
• Vehicle Cleanliness & Conduct: Keep the vehicle tidy and maintain professional conduct.
• Communication: Stay in touch with the depot team, provide real-time updates, and complete all delivery documentation.

Driver Requirements

• A valid 7.5 tonne or HGV 2 driving licence
• Physically able and comfortable handling heavy goods within safety limits
• Positive attitude with strong time management skills
• Good communication skills and professionalism with customers
• Commitment to safety and attention to detail

Pay Rates

7.5t Day - £16.50/hr

7.5t Night - £17.50/hr

HGV 2 Day - £18.00/hr

HGV 2 Night - £19.00/hr

Shifts available on weekdays and weekends.
