Job summary

Sagentia Innovation, a division of Science Group plc, is expanding its mechanical engineering team in Cambridge to deliver world-leading product development expertise. We seek an exceptional, hands-on Product Developer to work across the product development lifecycle on projects spanning medical to consumer sectors.

You will collaborate with electronics, software and applied science teams, managing projects to tight timescales and contributing to pre-sales, while delivering robust designs ready

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design with 2.1 or higher.
• Experience developing new products in consultancy or commercial settings.
• CAD design experience with SolidWorks and/or CREO.
• Analytical skills including FEA and multiphysics modelling.

Responsibilities

• Requirements development and qualification to inform new concept generation activities.
• Prototyping for early-stage risk reduction and design validation.
• Detailed product development and transfer to manufacture.
