Job summary

Leeds City Council is seeking two Cat E - Multi-Skilled Operatives to deliver multi‑trade repairs and refurbishments in domestic and non‑domestic properties across Leeds. You’ll work from Leeds Building Services, handling kitchen/bathroom replacements, void works and tenant liaison.

The role requires Level 2 NVQ or equivalent in a core trade or multi‑skill qualification, a full driving licence, and ideally CSCS and PASMA.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 NVQ / Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in at least 1 core trade (e.g. joinery, plumbing, plastering) or equivalent multi-skill qualification.
• Full driving licence.
• CSCS Card (Desirable).
• PASMA qualification (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Carry out multi‑skilled repairs, maintenance and refurbishment works.
• Ensure correct use of IT systems and equipment and accurate data recording.
• Liaise with customers to deliver excellent service.
• Support safe, efficient delivery of construction, repairs and maintenance services.
• Maintain van stock and equipment and ensure tools are secure and well‑maintained.
• Mentor apprentices and new staff as needed.
