Job summary

Leicester City Council is seeking a full-time trades operative to install kitchens and bathrooms across Leicester City.

You’ll hold an NVQ Level 2 trade qualification and have experience in carpentry, plumbing, brickwork, plastering, painting and decorating. Altro flooring experience is welcomed, and training can be provided. You’ll work 37 hours per week, travel to customer homes, and use provided tools and a van.

Qualifications

  • Must have NVQ Level 2 trade qualification and experience in kitchen/bathroom installs.
  • Experience in carpentry, plumbing, brickwork, plastering, painting and decorating.
  • Altro flooring experience welcomed, training can be provided.

Responsibilities

Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Permanent

Join us and we’ll put your trade skills into practice to complete kitchen & bathroom installations.

You’ll have a relevant trade qualification to NVQ Level 2 along with experience of other trade tasks involved in doing kitchen and bathroom installs. These include carpentry, plumbing, brickwork repairs, plastering, painting, and decorating. Ideally, you’ll have experience of installing Altro flooring, but training can be provided.

You’ll provide a high-quality value for money service.Working in line with building industry regulations and health and safety standards, you’ll create a safe home for our residents. Respectful, honest, and flexible, you’ll take pride the work you do. Hours of work are 8.00am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 3:30pm on Fridays. You’ll travel to homes across the city as the work requires. You’ll be provided with power tools, equipment and access to a van which can be used to travel to and from work. You'll need to hold a full valid driving licence.
