Job description

BCHA are seeking an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join our repairs and maintenance team working predominantly across Dorset.

You should have experience within a similar role, ideally from within the Housing sector.

As a multi-trade operative, you will have a trades background, ideally with skills and experience in:

  1. Bathroom fitting
  2. Kitchen fitting
  3. Plastering
  4. Tiling
  5. Painting

You will be required to work across a mix of planned and reactive maintenance.

There is a strong emphasis on customer service in these roles, as the customer is often present on site.

Due to a requirement to travel within this role, candidates must hold a full and current driving licence that is acceptable to our insurers and have the ability to drive a company van.

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week. A van, smartphone, uniform, and PPE will be provided.

Opportunities to work and be paid for additional hours, as well as personalised training to extend your skills and competencies (in-house and external), are available.

We are looking for people who genuinely care about individuals experiencing homelessness and related health needs, as well as those surviving on lower incomes needing social and affordable homes to live in. You need to be passionate and creative in all you do, always looking to grow and improve personal competences and experiences.

BCHA Safer Recruitment: Safeguarding children and adults is our first priority, and we will ensure we follow safer recruitment procedures.
