Job summary

Concorde BGW is seeking an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join our facilities management team on-site in the Nottingham area. You will work across hospitality and social housing sectors, tackling maintenance jobs with a broad range of skills, from joinery to plumbing and decorating.

You will be responsible for keeping buildings safe, running smoothly and looking great, with on-call duties and a focus on high-quality workmanship and customer service.

Qualifications

• Joinery is the core trade with practical skills in at least one secondary area (basic plumbing, tiling, painting/decorating or groundworks).
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Willingness to join a shared on-call rota (approx. one week every three months).
• Background in reactive maintenance in a hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

• Respond to daily maintenance requests to fix building issues quickly and safely.
• Carry out day‑to‑day repairs including carpentry (doors/locks), basic plumbing, plastering, tiling and painting.
• Complete routine safety checks and planned maintenance tasks.
• Use company smartphone to receive daily jobs, update progress and log parts used.
• Maintain a professional, polite manner with occupants and clients and keep workspace tidy.

The Role

We're currently seeking an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join our facilities management team.

As a Multi Trade Operative, you will be the face of our company, using your wide range of skills to tackle different repair and maintenance jobs in the hospitality and social housing sectors.

Working closely with colleagues, clients and our supply chain, you'll be responsible for keeping our clients' buildings safe, running smoothly, and looking great.

No two days are the same, so you'll need to be organised, adaptable and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

• Fixing and Repairing: Responding to daily maintenance requests to fix building issues quickly and safely.
• Using Multiple Trades: Carrying out day-to-day repairs including carpentry (fixing doors and locks), basic plumbing (unblocking drains and repairing leaks), patch plastering, tiling, and touch-up painting.
• Planning Ahead: Completing routine safety checks and planned maintenance tasks to stop problems before they happen.
• Staying Connected: Using a company smartphone to receive your daily jobs, update progress, and log parts used.
• Being Professional: Being polite with building occupants and clients, keeping them updated on your progress and leaving your work area clean and tidy.

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• Joinery as a core trade with practical skills in at least one secondary area (basic plumbing, tiling, painting/decorating, or groundworks).
• Ability to work productively and meet strict deadlines.
• High standards of workmanship with strong attention to detail.
• Professional and polite manners with clients and team members.
• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness to join a shared on-call rota (roughly one week every three months thanks to our large team).
• Background in reactive maintenance in a hospitality setting
• Comfortable use of technology and software for job tracking.
