Multi-Trade Operative

Kingsmead Office, London, E9 – covering the London region

£38,887 - £40,934 per year

40 hours per week

We are seeking a skilled Multi-Trade Operative to join our team, working on repairs for both void and tenanted properties. The role involves general building repairs, including plumbing, carpentry, and painting. It is primarily lone working, with opportunities to collaborate with the wider team as needed. The role includes a company van and tools, covering areas around London.

Role Responsibilities

• Attending occupied or void properties to carry out construction, fault fixing, and maintenance duties
• Resolving problems or initiating solutions, keeping customers informed
• Maintaining and restocking van stock levels as needed
• Providing clear and timely updates on work progress to customers

Skills and Experience

• Qualified or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (e.g., carpentry, electrical); for plumbing, Level 3, Unvented G3 Certificate, and Water Regulations (WRAS) are required. Original certification must be brought to interview; copies and CSCS cards are not accepted.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
• Experience in diagnosing and solving problems effectively
• Proficiency in using computerised systems (including PDA) for work scheduling
• A full UK driving licence is required as the role involves driving a company vehicle

Salary: £37,814 plus an additional policy allowance of £1,073 per annum, rising to £39,804 with an allowance of £1,130 after 12 months, subject to performance.
