Job summary

Cardo Group in the Hemel Hempstead area is seeking a Full-time Multi Trade Operative to join our team. You will carry out a wide range of responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and refurbishments in social housing properties, across occupied and void homes, with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

Proven ability across multiple trades, ideally within social housing or domestic settings.
Full UK driving licence required.
NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in a core trade.
Experience working in occupied properties with strong customer focus.

Responsibilities

Undertake trade tasks across carpentry, plumbing, plastering, painting, tiling, and basic electrical work.
Respond to day-to-day repair requests and emergencies in occupied homes.
Carry out void property works to reach Lettable Standard before reoccupation.
Communicate with tenants about work scope, timescales, and disruption.
Maintain PPE and ensure safety compliance.
Record work details via handheld device or job sheet system.
