ISSMulti Trade Engineer Mech/Plumber

Location: London, N19 5NX

Hours of work: 40

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract | 6 months

We are seeking a Multi-skilled Engineer to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will perform maintenance and repairs across electrical, mechanical, and plumbing plant, focusing on your core trade discipline.

Job Description

As a Multi-skilled Engineer, you will collaborate with the manager, medical teams, nursing staff, and other client personnel to ensure all work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This is a great opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced environment while supporting essential services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Carry out planned, reactive, and corrective maintenance across mechanical systems (plant, air handling, alarms, catering, water, etc.)
  2. Diagnose faults, source materials/spares, and maintain accurate records of work completed
  3. Operate, monitor, and fault-find using the Building Management System (BMS)
  4. Participate in on-call rota and respond promptly to urgent tasks
  5. Act as Competent Person for Medical Gases and Legionella (training provided)
  6. Ensure compliance with hygiene, health & safety, COSHH, and company procedures
  7. Liaise effectively with managers, Trust staff, subcontractors, and patients to support safe operations
