Job summary

SER Limited in Milton Keynes is seeking a Multi‑Skilled Workshop Engineer to service, maintain, and repair materials handling equipment in a busy workshop. You will work within a skilled team and report to the Workshop Manager, with hands‑on duties and opportunities for development.

The role emphasizes mechanical and electrical fault‑finding, independent work, and strong attention to quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Workshop Engineer, Plant Engineer, Forklift Engineer, or similar role.
• Multi-skilled with strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilities.
• Experience working on materials handling equipment, forklifts, plant, or powered access equipment.
• Good communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair materials handling and powered access equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Replace or repair faulty components as required.
• Prepare equipment for customer delivery and inspections.
• Complete planned maintenance and workshop repair tasks efficiently.
• Work closely with the Workshop Manager & Service Team to prioritise and complete workloads.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with Health & Safety regulations.
• Complete relevant job documentation and adhere to company procedures.
