Job description

Role - Welder and Fabricator

Location: Close to Lowestoft, Suffolk

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, with overtime

Pay rate: Up to £24.00 per hour

Position type: Temporary to Permanent

Our client, an established organisation, is looking to expand their workshop team with a skilled welder and fabricator.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in MIG and TIG welding, with experience working with stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel.

Main duties:
  1. Transform raw materials into finished products through cutting, bending, welding, and shaping various metals.
  2. Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine product specifications and dimensions.
  3. Operate and maintain power and hand tools such as grinders, saws, and drills.
  4. Inspect and test finished products for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards and customer requirements.
  5. Participate in team meetings, providing project updates and collaborating to complete work on time and within budget.
Candidate attributes:
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
  • Flexibility in working hours as required by the client
  • Valid driving licence due to location constraints
