Job summary

The Vella Group is seeking a Multi Skilled Apprentice to train as a repair technician for 36 months, restoring passenger and light commercial vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will work with experienced technicians, learn to identify and remove components, assess damage, repair/replace panels and prepare surfaces to the manufacturer’s specs.

Throughout the programme you will travel to dedicated training Colleges, with travel and accommodation expenses covered.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of vehicle repair processes across major systems.
• Awareness of hybrid and electrical vehicle components and safety.
• Willingness to participate in off-site training and college courses.

Responsibilities

• Develop skills in strip and refit processes for main vehicle systems including air conditioning, alignment and hybrid systems.
• Learn repair bodywork by replacing panels and performing welding using various techniques.
• Practice surface preparation and paint refinishing—from sealing to polishing.
