Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Multi Skilled Utilities Operative to support the utilities infrastructure at HM Naval Base Clyde, Faslane. The role is on-site, full-time, 36 hours per week from Monday to Thursday, with salary and benefits.

You will operate within a highly secure environment and must be able to obtain SC clearance. The successful candidate will work to maintain essential services, follow safe systems, and contribute to productivity improvements while complying with health, safety,

The role

As aMulti Skilled Utilities Operative, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll play a vital role in supporting the utilities infrastructure that underpins operations at HM Naval Base Clyde. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team responsible for maintaining essential services across a highly secure and operationally critical environment.

Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

• Supporting utilities operations to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently and in line with departmental objectives.
• Following established processes, procedures and safe systems of work across all activities.
• Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and productivity within the utilities function.
• Working in accordance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements at all times.
• Undertaking other reasonable duties within your skills, knowledge and capability as directed.

This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Thursday 07:15 - 16:45 and is based on site at HMNB Clyde Faslane.

Essential experience of the Multi Skilled Utilities Operative

• Experience working with utilities activities and associated equipment.
• Understanding of standard operating procedures within an operational environment.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Awareness of quality assurance processes and standards.
• Experience carrying out manual handling activities safely.

Qualifications for the Multi Skilled Utilities Operative

• Full UK Driving Licence.
