Job summary

Mantra Learning is seeking a Multi Skilled Tutor to deliver pathway qualifications from our Middleton site in Greater Manchester, with some online delivery. You will develop learning plans, motivate diverse groups, and track progress within our Employability/Job Gym department.

The role requires experience with Microsoft Teams, ICT, and delivering Functional Skills, with several desirable teaching qualifications and safeguarding responsibilities.

Job description

Multi Skilled Tutor - £27,000 - £28,000 per annum

We are Mantra Learning, one of the UK’s leading logistics learning and development organisations. We are an Ofsted grade 2 independent training provider who have specialised in providing training within the sector for over 58 years. The Manchester site is well established as one of the largest specialist logistics training facilities in the UK.

Through our two key brands, The Job Gym and The National Logistics Academy we help thousands of individuals each year to gain new skills. This enables our learners to obtain employment within the logistics sector and drives the long-term growth of the industry.

We work with some of the biggest brands in the country, including ALDI, GXO and Travis Perkins, delivering approximately 400 Apprenticeships and over 1000 HGV licences each year. The organisation is dedicated to deliver programmes that develop the ‘Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours to enable learners to thrive in life and work’.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Tutor to join our friendly team. The position is full-time, working 37.5 hours a week based in Middleton, Greater Manchester.

Flexibility will be required occasionally to support our after-hours delivery model.

Role

Yourmain roleis to work in the Employability/Job Gym Department, teachingour pathway programmequalifications, creating learning plans, and tracking learner progress. You will motivatevariedgroups of learners at our Middleton site and online.

Your duties will include butwon’tbe limited to:

• Adhere to all awarding body standards and other compliance as set out byESFA and Ofsted.
• Provide learner support through a variety of means including face-to-face or virtual delivery.
• Provide learners with information advice and guidance regarding appropriateness of courses and establish records and learning goals suited to the learner’s needs.
• Induct learners into the learning environment, courses and systems where appropriate in an inclusive and welcoming manner.
• Create, set and mark work-related tasks to help the learner progress through programme, with targeted support for inclusion learners.
• Share sector-specific experience and knowledge with learners.
• Work with the line manager and department to develop employability programmes.
• Positively embrace change and equally understand the challenges faced within the Further Education sector.
• Monitor attendance and performance of the learners on an ongoing basis and effectively report to management.
• Ensure learner requirements are dealt with quickly and effectively.
• Promote Functional Skills learning in a manner that it becomes an activity valued by the employers and learners we work with.
• Promote Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values within your session.
• Promote and ensure safe working practices and safeguarding of learners in line with current Health and Safety legislation and LCG Safeguarding and Prevent policies.

You will be required to have prior experience of at least one of the following subject areas:

• Logistics
• Warehouse
• PCV
• Anyadditionalcourses that arise that meet your skills and experience, our pathways include construction, customer service, wellbeing, employability,Englishand Maths
