Job Title: Multi‑Skilled Tradesperson (Multi‑Trader) - Social Housing Maintenance

📍 Location: Swindon
🕒 Hours: Monday‑Friday | 8:00am‑5:00pm
💷 Pay: Up to £19 per hour

Role Overview

We are recruiting an experienced Multi‑Skilled Tradesperson to carry out day‑to‑day maintenance and reactive repairs across social housing properties in Swindon. This is a hands‑on role suited to a reliable, well‑rounded multi‑trader who can turn their hand to a variety of trades while working in occupied homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out a wide range of responsive and planned maintenance works within social housing properties
  • Undertake repairs including:
    • Basic plumbing (leaks, taps, toilets, sinks)
    • Carpentry (doors, locks, skirting, kitchen units)
    • Plastering & patch repairs
    • Painting & decorating
    • Tiling & minor flooring repairs
    • Basic electrical work (non‑certifiable tasks)
  • Complete jobs to a high standard, first‑time fix where possible
  • Work professionally in tenants' homes with a strong customer‑focused approach
  • Follow health & safety procedures and company policies at all times
  • Accurately record works completed and materials used
Essential Experience & Skills
  • Proven experience as a Multi‑Trader / Multi‑Skilled Trades person
  • Previous social housing or domestic maintenance experience is prefeered
  • Confident working across multiple trades (not just one main skill)
  • Able to work independently and manage daily workloads
  • Good communication skills and a respectful approach when dealing with tenants
  • Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail
  • Own van and full set of tools required
