Job summary

Mears is seeking a qualified trades operative to undertake responsive repairs and maintenance in residents' homes across the region.

You'll support damp and mould remediation, remove and replace fixtures, and carry out high-standard repairs while delivering excellent customer service. Use a PDA to receive orders, maintain tools, and work both independently and as part of a wider team.

Qualifications

• Qualified in a minimum of one trade discipline (Bricklaying, Carpentry & Joinery, Plastering, Roofing, Plumbing, Damp Proof Coursing, Tiling or Glazing).
• Experience working within a trade environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.

Responsibilities

• Undertake responsive repairs and maintenance works
• Support damp and mould remediation projects
• Remove and replace skirting boards, kitchen units and associated fixtures
• Carry out repairs safely, efficiently and to a high standard
• Ensure excellent customer service when working within residents' homes
• Use a PDA to receive and complete work orders
• Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicle responsibly
• Work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team
