Mars Wrigley Plymouth is seeking a Multi-Skilled Technician to maintain plant equipment and resolve mechanical and electrical issues across the site with a strong electrical bias toward control/automation. You will troubleshoot PLC, servo, and HMI systems while supporting operators and apprentices.

Qualifikationen

• Engineering foundation: HNC in Electrical, Automation, or Multi-Skilled Engineering or equivalent with practical experience.
• Automation & electrical problem-solving: diagnose and resolve complex electrical/automation issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Maintenance & reliability: preventative and reactive maintenance to maximize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Collaborative & results-driven: strong problem-solving, communication, and prioritization across teams.

Plant-Wide Technical Support: Provide on-shift support, including overtime cover, to troubleshoot and resolve PLC, servo, HMI, and related control system issues.

Preventative & Reactive Maintenance: Carry out planned preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, repairs, and breakdown response activities to maximize operational performance.

Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to maintenance processes, reliability, and fault resolution activities.

Maintenance Documentation: Maintain accurate records and detailed reports of maintenance work, repairs, and system performance.

Training & Knowledge Sharing: Coach and support operators, technicians, and apprentices to develop technical capability and promote best practices.

What We're Looking For Engineering Foundation: Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Electrical, Automation, or Multi-Skilled Engineering, or equivalent qualification with relevant practical experience.

Automation & Electrical Problem-Solving: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical and automation issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Maintenance & Reliability Expertise: Experience in preventative and reactive maintenance activities, focusing on maximizing equipment performance and minimizing downtime.

Collaborative & Results-Driven: Strong problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.

Salary: £50,400-£56,700 (including shift allowance)

Welcome Bonus: £5,000 + Performance Bonus & Exceptional Benefits
