Job summary

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified Electrician to join the Estates Maintenance Team at our Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber sites. The role focuses on maintenance, installation and repair of plant, equipment and building fabric across the Trust estate.

You will perform PPMs, testing and calibration, fault finding and emergency response, with opportunities for training and career progression.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3 and an accredited apprenticeship.
• Experience in repairs, maintenance and installation across plant and building systems.
• Competent in testing, calibration and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repair, maintenance and installation across Trust properties.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance and fault finding.
• Respond to emergencies and complete minor works as required.
• Work with specialists and engineers to ensure safe environments.

Job description

The Trust are seeking a qualified Electrician to join the Estates Maintenance Team working at our Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber sites. You will be part of a great team who are responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive maintenance and installation service across the Trust's estate. The post attracts a band 5 salary plus overtime + on call allowance + any call out payments.

The Trust and the Head of Service are committed to technical development of our staff with great opportunities for further training and support in career development., You will carry out the repair, maintenance or installation of all plant, equipment, systems and building structure/fabric associated with all Trust properties. This will consist of planned preventative maintenance (PPMs), testing and calibration, fault finding, emergency response, defect correction and minor works.

You will be employed to work appropriate to your core skills around building and engineering plant and equipment maintenance. You will progressively be trained, where required, to acquire other skills with the intention of reaching levels of multi trade flexibility and competence. You will have some Competent Person duties for which training will be provided and will participate in the crafts persons on call rota. You will work closely with the Senior Technicians to improve planned maintenance.

Applicants must hold NVQ level 3 qualifications and have undertaken an accredited apprenticeship. You will be carrying out maintenance and installation work across our Trust properties and work with a variety of our specialist contractors and engineers on a variety of systems. You will enjoy working with all our clinical staff, nurses, doctors, and corporate staff to support them in their work.
