Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions in London is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our on-site team. You will carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works on heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems to meet service levels.

The role requires hands-on experience with pumps, motors and valves, knowledge of cooling towers, and a commitment to safety, quality, and professional development within CBRE Managed Services.

Qualifications

• A good basic education with good written and spoken English.
• Formally trained in mechanical services maintenance.
• Experience maintaining Pumps, Motors and Valves; operating Cooling Towers.
• Sound understanding of health and safety obligations in maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on Heating & Air-Conditioning systems.
• Perform reactive maintenance to keep plant in serviceable order.
• Develop safe working practices with Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
• Maintain comprehensive maintenance records and spares availability.
• Collaborate with CBRE Managed Services staff and client teams.

Purpose of Job

To carry out planned preventative maintenance andreactive works to client Heating & Air-Conditioning Systems in accordancewith agreed service levels

KeyResponsibilities

• Ensure that routine maintenance iscarried out to all Heating & Air-conditioning plant to meet and exceedexpectations, and agreed service level agreements.
• Ensure that Evaporative CoolingSystems and Domestic water systems are maintained to comply with therequirements of the L8 standard.
• Ensure that plant faults and defectsare swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order at all times.
• To carry out planned preventativemaintenance and reactive works to other site plant as required.
• Ensure that suitable spares areavailable to carry out maintenance of the above plant.
• Ensure that comprehensivemaintenance records are kept in the form of “Frontline” task sheets.
• Ensure that Method Statements andRisk Assessments are prepared for all tasks carried out to ensure safe workingpractices
• To develop a good working relationshipwith all members of CBRE Managed Services staff and clients staff.
• Ensure the provision of a safe &healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all Company policiesand procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and workingarrangements, as required.
• Ensure a professional image of CBREManaged Services is presented to clients and visitors, and ensure excellence incustomer service is delivered and promoted at all times.
• Ensure that professional andtechnical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal developmentand life-long-learning.

PersonSpecification

Education

• A good basic education is essential,with good written and spoken English and basic Mathematics skills.

Training

• Formally trained in mechanicalservices maintenance
• Basic skills on building managementsystems would be an advantage
• Formal health and safety training(Desirable)

Experience

• Experience of maintaining Pumps,Motors and Valves
• Experience of operating CoolingTowers
• Sound understanding and experienceof meeting health and safety obligations with regard to maintenance activities
• Working on a client resident site(Desirable)
• Formally certified for Maintenanceand Operation of Evaporative Cooling Systems (Desirable)
