Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer in London to maintain plant, equipment and building services on a busy commercial contract. You will identify risks, update drawings, and support preventative maintenance while working with a safety-focused team.

The role covers fault-finding across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, with 3-phase motors, drives and inverters, and supervision of contractors when required.

Qualifications

• Recognised or time-served apprenticeship.
• Strong manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience.
• Electrical qualifications (City & Guilds 236 Parts 1–2 or equivalent, 17th Edition).
• Mechanical qualifications to City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2.
• Ability to fault-find across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with 3-phase motors, drives and inverters.
• PLC diagnostic or repair capabilities (advantageous).
• Confident supervising contractors and managing safety documentation.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned andreactive maintenance across plant, equipment and building services.
• Identifying, assessing andmanaging risks relating to onsite equipment, including updating drawings andidentifying critical spares.
• Supporting and improvingpreventative maintenance programmes and ensuring compliance.
• Performing fault-finding acrossa wide range of industrial machinery, heavy plant and overhead cranes.
• Providing electrical andmechanical expertise to the maintenance team.
• Working safely on three-phasesystems up to 440V.
• Maintaining motors, gearboxes,valves and hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Using CAFM mobile devices torecord and complete maintenance work.
• Liaising with Site Services andclients to resolve building-services-related issues.
• Acting as responsible personand deputising for the Shift Leader when required.
• Completing documentationincluding risk assessments and method statements.
• Supporting ad-hoc duties andovertime when business needs arise.
