Job Title
Multi Skilled Engineer (30 hours per week) – Ascot
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Multi Skilled Engineer to join the maintenance team located in Ascot.
The successful candidate will perform maintenance on plant, equipment, and building services.
Role Summary:
- Identify and manage risks to the client through equipment on site, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, improving machinery performance, and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
- Maintain a working production environment using new equipment and technologies, liaising with the client on machinery PPM requests.
- Fault finding on all types of machinery.
- Support health and safety initiatives within the department.
- Provide electrical and mechanical expertise working on heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes.
- Write and follow risk assessments, ensuring issues are addressed safely and accurately.
- Complete required documentation in compliance with all rules and legislation.
- Work on three-phase systems with voltages up to 440V.
- Work on motors, gearboxes, valves, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Use mobile devices to project and complete work via the CAFM maintenance system.
- Plan daily work requirements using email and calendars to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Liaise with onsite site services to manage building service issues.
- Serve as the responsible person for the department when required and deputise for the shift leader during leave or sickness.
- Work overtime as required, including nights and weekends, sometimes with short notice.
- Perform ad hoc duties as needed.
Experience Required:
- A recognized or time-served apprenticeship.
- Proven experience in manufacturing maintenance.
- Electrical qualifications equivalent to City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2, 17th Edition.
- Mechanical qualifications to a standard acceptable to City and Guilds.
- Strong multi-skilled abilities.
- Experience working with three-phase motors, drives, and inverters.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic experience.
- Ability to fault find effectively.
- PLC diagnostics and repair competencies.
- NVQ Level 2 in Electrical and Mechanical.
- Ability to supervise contractors.
- Capability to write risk and method statements.
- Understanding and ability to write permits.
