Job summary

The Gap, Inc. is seeking a practical Site Services Engineer for a site near Reading. This hands-on role covers electrical, plumbing, installations and general maintenance to keep the site safe and operational.

You will work with the existing engineering team to carry out planned and reactive maintenance, support contractors and ensure work complies with safety standards. The role offers varied duties and steady progression within a busy site environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in site services or facilities maintenance.
• Recognised 18th Edition qualification.
• Good electrical maintenance knowledge.
• Experience with minor plumbing and building maintenance.
• Practical, troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a small team.
• Flexible hours and weekend rota.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site.
• Completing general electrical maintenance and minor electrical works.
• Undertaking minor plumbing and building maintenance.
• Carrying out installations and repairs across the site.
• Supporting with soft furnishings, fixtures, fittings and general site improvements.
• Responding to day-to-day maintenance requests and resolving issues promptly.
• Helping ensure the site remains safe, functional and operational at all times.
• Working closely with the existing Site Engineering team and wider site personnel.
• Supporting contractors and external suppliers where required.
• Identifying potential issues and carrying out preventative maintenance wherever possible.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with relevant legislation and company procedures.
